Contemporary Art in Bhutan

Bhutan is no doubt rich in traditional art but contemporary art is something that only came about a decade ago. The credit for the movement of contemporary art in Bhutan goes to a group of artists who started VAST (Voluntary Artist Studio of Thimphu) in 1998, namely Kama Wangdi, Phurba Thinley Sherpa, Rajesh Gurung, Jigme Lotey and Pema Dorj.
Mayesh Tamang finishes it all.
